Forum: web Subject: Need Help! Website deleted of traditional medicine pharmacy (esd 1849)

Dear Archive.org crew,

At the moment i am restoring (using archive.org) a website of the oldest pharmacies in my country (the Netherlands) The website (including forums) was deleted through an act of stupidness of the former admin.

The pharmacy sells natural medicine, herbs, spices and even candy and have been doing this for more than 150 years. The interior of the shop has not changed for more than a hundred years.

The 'destruction' of the website is a great loss, the forum contained hundreds of questions by customers who where all answered by the staff, only members of the staff who had finished a university degree in medical science (specialized in natural medicine) was allowed to answer questions asked by the customers.

We would be very very gratefull if you could supply us with as many data as you have got so we can restore the website to its former state.

even if that was possible to do, would that be right? the 'former admin' had all the rights to disallow archiving of his website, whatever was his reason. if archive.org decides now to make this site's archive public, that will render the whole robots.txt thing a joke. if you need anything from that site, you'd better contact someone from its former staff, they could have backup copies...
